Your budget determines whether there can be any personalisation in your proposal. We love to include items that are personal to each couple that they can take away with them to remember the moment long after it's happened.
We have been planning and organising surprise Marriage Proposals across New Zealand for a few years now and have an extensive network of vendors we work with in every region.
The budgets of our proposal have ranged from $650 to $5,000. Ideally we prefer to work with a budget of more than $1,000-$2,000 as this allows us to add many personalised touches for the couple.
When a client contacts us we quickly identify what their budget is as more often than not their budget does not cover their wish list. We then explain what is possible within their budget and what is not.
Including things like helicopters, night time and remote locations will always increase the cost. We also have to consider environmental issues and local council regulations.
We once had a request to provide a scene out of Tangled where Flynn and Rapunzel are sitting in a boat awaiting the start of the annual lantern lighting ceremony when they are surrounded by floating lanterns that fill the night sky.
Sadly we were not able to carry out this request due to the local council regulations for the area including the environmental impact from the waste.
We also had to adhere to local flight regulations as the area contained an international airport with airspace that prohibited us to do this.
There are several other factors that we consider when working on a clients brief. Our number one priority is to make sure they are comfortable, safe and secure and that the conditions are suitable for the moment.
