What is your Marriage Proposal budget?

When thinking about proposing to your sweetheart you will also need to think “What is your marriage proposal budget?”

Your budget defines how memorable you would like it to be.  It also defines what can and cannot be included especially if you are wanting to include professional photography to capture the magical moment.

Photography packages in New Zealand generally start from around $1,000 for a 2 hour session.  We are very lucky to have photographers who offer us exclusive specials that are only available to our clients.  We are lucky enough to work with a range of preferred photographers around New Zealand who have been personally chosen by us.Marriage Proposal Budget

Your budget determines whether there can be any personalisation in your proposal.  We love to include items that are personal to each couple that they can take away with them to remember the moment long after it’s happened.

We have been planning and organising surprise Marriage Proposals across New Zealand for a few years now and have an extensive network of vendors we work with in every region.

The budgets of our proposal have ranged from $650 to $5,000.  Ideally we prefer to work with a budget of more than $1,000-$2,000 as this allows us to add many personalised touches for the couple.

When a client contacts us we quickly identify what their budget is as more often than not their budget does not cover their wish list.  We then explain what is possible within their budget and what is not.

Including things like helicopters, night time and remote locations will always increase the cost.  We also have to consider environmental issues and local council regulations.

Budget Marriage ProposalWe once had a request to provide a scene out of Tangled where Flynn and Rapunzel are sitting in a boat awaiting the start of the annual lantern lighting ceremony when they are surrounded by floating lanterns that fill the night sky.

Sadly we were not able to carry out this request due to the local council regulations for the area including the environmental impact from the waste.

We also had to adhere to local flight regulations as the area contained an international airport with airspace that prohibited us to do this.

There are several other factors that we consider when working on a clients brief.  Our number one priority is to make sure they are comfortable, safe and secure and that the conditions are suitable for the moment.

If you would like to know more about our surprise Marriage Proposals please feel free to get in touch or alternatively you can see some of the proposals we have been fortunate enough to be a part of over on our Marriage Proposals page.

Empty nest

My baby isn’t a baby anymore!

As I sit here looking out the window at another glorious day here in Canterbury, I reminisce about the time long passed where my babies were completely dependent on me for their well being.  A time where I was their whole world, a world which they thought revolved around them and maybe it did.  A time where I consciously gave up my desire to follow my passion to focus on being there for them 100%.  A time when the last thing you think about is having an empty nest. Couples differences

One of the fun parts about getting to know a new couple is learning about how they first met.  Because, invariably, you don’t get to hear just one story.  You get to hear two: his and hers.  Conflicting memories can be important when you’re dealing with events and situations that go deeper.  Maybe you and your spouse have different accounts of an awkward situation at a family gathering and, as a result, can’t decide how to deal with it.  Or, you don’t agree on the outcome of a serious conversation about what to do with a rebellious teenager.  What do you do when you want to be on the same page, but seem to be reading different scripts?  How can we learn more about couples differences?
