Our Date Night packages are designed to include activities and/or accommodation around New Zealand. Except when otherwise specified, we act only as an agent in respect of all bookings we take and/or make on your behalf. We accept no liability in relation to any contract you enter into with any other provider outside of Romantic Gestures Ltd. Products and services are subject to change depending on individual circumstances.
- Booking Date Night packages through Romantic Gestures Ltd
When you make your booking you must pay the relevant non refundable deposit or make full payment as specified. We advise you to take out your own insurance for all members of your party at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs. Please read your policy details on receipt and take them with you on your trip.
Please check the details of your booking carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately. We take no responsibility for any errors in any documentation except where an error is made by us.
- Booking outside of Romantic Gestures Ltd
Booking products and services outside of Romantic Gestures is not advised. Romantic Gestures operates a planning event operation and we are responsible for our own services we provide. If a mistake is made by a third party agency, then the planning of your package could be compromised which may cause the services that you have paid for to be excluded from your booking.
We accept no liability in relation to any contract you enter into with any other provider outside of Romantic Gestures Ltd. In doing so however, we will charge you an additional $200.00 third party liaison fee and all liability will be yours.
- Prices and Availability
Upon payment of the non-refundable deposit ($100.00), we will begin to plan your booking. Once you have confirmed your booking we will then send you an invoice for full payment. Planning time is charged at a rate of $100.00 p/h. The details of which will be included in your invoice.
When making your booking, you will ensure that the details you have given us are accurate and that the credit/debit card, PayPal or any other payment methods you are using is your own and there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of your booking. If you pay for your booking by credit card or PayPal, a handling fee of 3.75% will be charged. Direct Debit cards will incur a 2% charge. This fee will not be refunded in the event of cancellation.
We reserve the right to amend advertised prices at any time and to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices.
- Booking Instructions
We strongly advise you to follow all instructions given with your booking as we cannot be held liable for any costs incurred in the event that you do not follow our instructions. Full details of your booking are given to you once you have confirmed your package and full payment has been received. We must advise that any delays, curtailments and breakdowns on the day of your booking that are not within our control we cannot be held liable. We will endeavour to do our best to provide you with an alternative arrangement at the expense of the third party company responsible.
The undertaking of some of our activities may involve an element of personal risk and in this instance the service providers may require you to sign a disclaimer. Please make sure you read their documents carefully and comply with their specific safety instructions and procedures. Your safety is our top priority and if necessary we will coordinate requirements by either party prior to the day. We also advise you checking with your own insurance company well in advance.
Once a date has been confirmed it may not be possible to change this date unless the service providers agree to the change. Where a date cannot be altered by any service provider it will not be possible to issue a refund. In the unlikely event that one of our operators needs to cancel the experience after you have booked a date, we will contact you. We strongly recommend, that you contact us the day before you depart for your experience if we have not already made contact with you directly. In the event of cancellation, Romantic Gestures will not be held liable for the cost of lost insurance premiums, travel expenses, pre-booked accommodation costs or any other costs incurred. We will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if the supplier needs to make a significant change to your confirmed arrangements or to cancel them. We will also liaise between you and the supplier in relation to any alternative arrangements offered by the supplier but we will have no further liability to you. Should you cancel a booking at short notice a cancellation fee invoice will be issued to compensate for any planning done prior to the cancellation. The cancellation fee is $100.00.
Covid-19 Cancellation Policy
For any cancellation requested due to the Covid-19 outbreak less than 30 days from your booking date is subject to the current cancellation policy as stated above..
From the 1am 16 March 2020, clients that are from countries that are an area of concern (1a & 1b are to self isolate for 14 days starting from the date of departure from that country. Failure to do so will result in the following:
- You will not be entitled to any refund of any cancellation made.
- Any bookings made will be cancelled immediately by Romantic Gestures and client affected will be notified.

Romantic Gestures has enforced this policy to assist with limiting the spread of Covid-19, and the only way to do this is to put extreme measures in place.
We will continue to assess the situation and will provide further information as matters progress. We strongly advise all travelers to carefully review and select appropriate cancellation policies according to personal needs and the outlook on COVID-19.

These terms and conditions are governed by New Zealand Law and any related disputes will be dealt with in the Small Claims Tribunal.
