How do you choose your Anniversary gifts to each other?  Do you follow a pattern?  Do you give them something you know they have been hinting about wanting recently?  Do you give them something you were wanting to be given yourself? If you are stuck for ideas get in touch with natasha@RomanticGestures.co.nz and she will organise the perfect Anniversary gifts for you both.

Russell and I have chosen to follow the traditional Anniversary gift suggestions and use these to give each other unique gifts.  We are about to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary this May and we will be giving each other a gift made from Wood.  Our 1st Wedding anniversary gifts to each other were books (Paper) which we still have, our 2nd Wedding anniversary gifts to each other were t towels (Cotton) which we still have, our 3rd Wedding anniversary gifts to each other were made from Leather and our 4th Wedding anniversary gifts to each other were made from Linen.  The t towel I gave Russell was a replica of the one that was bought and used on our Wedding Day as a way to remember the day.

Whether you follow a traditional or modern method of gift giving, be as creative as you can.  The giving of gifts is only one way to show your sweetheart just how much you love and respect them.  Especially if their Love Language is ‘Gift Giving’.  Try not to fall into the trap of becoming predictable and arriving home with the standard stock roses and chocolates.  While it is the thought that counts, the thought that shows a little more effort means a whole lot more and will earn you many brownie points in the process.  The graphic above has been taken from http://bit.ly/1GgKW7N which also shows which flowers to present to your sweetheart for each year.

We would love to hear in the comment box below what anniversary gifts you have given each other and whether you follow a traditional or non traditional guide.
